ZTE Nubia Z9 Rumors, Release Date: Upcoming Android Device Following Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's Footsteps?

ZTE is well-known in China and a few of its neighboring markets, but not much outside of Asia. In spite of this, the Chinese manufacturer may be developing one of the best-looking Android devices this year.

According to a report by Phone Arena, a leaked image has surfaced online, allegedly revealing the look of the new ZTE Nubia Z9 smartphone. The image boasts nearly invisible side bezels, though it has a significant amount of top and bottom bezels.

However, what captured the report's attention are the curved edges of the screen, or at least they appear to be curved.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can neither prove nor disprove the existence of the curved edges.

Aside from the screen, the Nubia Z9's design is also absolutely stunning with its metal frame, and premium quality features.

Based on the report, the device will boast a 5.5-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, and either the Snapdragon 808 or the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm. Either way, both processors are the best in the business today.

Summing up the rumored specs is a fingerprint scanner located on the phone's home button.

In spite the rumors and the leaked image, there is still no tentative release date for the ZTE Nubia Z9. But if the device will live up to its expectations, and ZTE would be able to attach an attractive price tag, then this could be among the best devices to be released in the region.
