5 Prayers to Give at Church for Reconciliation, Forgiveness
The world is in a state of chaos to the point that it is impossible to reconcile disputes and differences. Sin has caused everyone to hurt each other, resulting in a never-ending cycle of retribution and hate. Courts have never delivered real justice while man-made laws fail to stop the conflicts.
The world's system has failed and the only solution lies in forgiveness. God provided the perfect example by pardoning our sins. Considering it is impossible to restore our relationship with our Creator, He decided to forgive our transgressions altogether if we just come to Him. The world needs that forgiveness which is why we should pray for each other.
Family
Heavenly Father, we lift up to you families that are hurting due to the pain caused by a member. We pray for a wayward husband to come home. Please touch the wife so she may find it in her heart to forgive. We pray that you help children who were negatively affected by their parents' decisions, and give them the understanding to forgive as well. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Relationships
Lord, we bring to you this petition to heal broken relationships. Restore friendships that were broken by misunderstanding. Let forgiveness reign the hearts of men so they won't find it difficult to extend compassion and sympathy. Bring forth understanding to let them see the viewpoint of others. Amen.
Country
Father in Heaven we come to You with a heavy heart, confessing our faults and recognizing our helplessness. The country has been divided by so much hate and disagreements that only You can soften the hearts of people, so that anger will transform into compassion and ill-intent will turn into peace. In Christ, we pray, Amen.
Leaders
Dear Lord, we lift our leaders to You in prayer. Enlighten their minds so they may realize that closing doors does not assure security and safety. Create opportunities that would allow people from other nations to extend assistance to our leaders so their eyes will be opened to the fact that welcoming is the first step to safety. This we ask through Your son, Amen.
World Peace
Father God, we pray that you open the eyes of the oppressors and remove the blindfold that was put on them by the evil one. Soften their hearts so that their hatred will turn into mercy. Give them the opportunity to change their ways and lead a new life. We also pray that the victims will find it in their hearts to forgive their trespassers. This we pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
