Acer Unveils Two New Windows 10 PC: Aspire Z3-700 and Aspire R 14
Acer recently released a brand-new and lightweight all-in-one computer running on Microsoft's latest operating system.
The new Acer PCs were launched at an event on Monday at the Grand Hyatt in Taipei, Taiwan. The Taiwanese brand introduced the Acer Aspire Z3-700 all-in-one at the launch, as well as a new convertible notebook, the Acer Aspire R 14. The two new devices are both running on Windows 10. The two Acer computers come with new features like Microsoft Edge browser, the Xbox App, Continuum, and Cortana personal assistant, according to ZDNet.
"We worked closely with the Acer team through-out the development of these new devices, which ensures our customers can make the most of Windows 10. You can also see the promise of the familiar and consistent experience we are delivering with Windows 10 extending across their device lineup, from notebooks to PCs to phones," Terry Myerson, chief of Windows and devices at Microsoft, said in a statement at the Windows Official Blog.
Computer World said that the Aspire Z3-700 comes with 8 GB RAM, which comes with an option of HDD or SSD storage, and built with Intel or Celeron processors. The new Aspire Z3-700 weighs 4.4 pounds, and comes with a full-HD (1920 X 1080) display. This new Windows 10-powered device can work as a notebook, or a "jumbo" tablet.
The website also added that the pricing of the Acer Aspire Z3-700 in Europe, Middle East and Africa is €599 (about $680), however, Acer added in their blog that the pricing may vary per region.
On the other hand, the Aspire R 14 is described by the company as a "convertible notebook," which allows the device to "turn 180 degrees to display to others." The device can also be used as a tablet, and just weighs only 3.5 pounds. It is powered by sixth-generation Intel processors, and also comes with up to 8 GB RAM.
The Acer Aspire R 14 is priced at $699, and will be available in North America later this month.
