'Agent Carter' Season 2: Marvel Executive Reveals New Cast Members

"Agent Carter" will return on air soon for its second season, and a Marvel executive has revealed new cast members ahead of the series premiere.

Marvel Entertainment executive Jeph Loeb spilled a few details about the cast of "Agent Carter" during the New York Comic-Con (NYCC). Aside from Hayley Atwell, who will play main character Peggy Carter, Dominic Cooper will also come back to play Iron Man's father, Howard Stark, according to Latin Post.

It was earlier revealed that James D'Arcy will still be Edwin Jarvis, but Cooper's participation was announced a little later. His return to "Agent Carter" was doubtful before because he is tied up with AMC's "Preacher," but his schedule might have allowed him some leeway to do the two shows at the same time, the report explains.

"Dominic has been a fantastic addition to the cast," Variety quotes Loeb's statement during the NYCC. "Bringing a character like Howard Stark to Hollywood just opens up so many fun opportunities for the series this season."

Other returning characters include Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj), Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan), Agent Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray), and Angie Martinelli (Lyndsy Fonseca), the report adds.

"Agent Carter" also added four new members to the cast of season 2. The show has commissioned "Devious Maids" star Reggie Austin to play Jason Wilkes and "Outlander" star Lotte Verbeek as Ana Jarvis. Another villain in the person of Whitney Frost, a.k.a. Madame Masque (Wynn Everett), has also been added. Plus, Currie Graham has joined the cast as Frost's husband, Calvin Chadwick, the report details.

The second installation of "Agent Carter" will feature the fight against the new villain. The showrunners have described the character of Madame Masque as both an excellent inventor and a brilliant actress.

"Agent Carter" season 2, which started production last month, will begin airing during the winter break of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." on ABC.
