Alcatel OneTouch Idol 4 And 4S Complete Specs Detailed Ahead Of Launch Day

French smartphone manufacturer Alcatel has surprised the public by releasing the details of two of their unannounced devices dubbed as the OneTouch Idol 4 and Idol 4s. According to a report by GSM Arena, both of the devices were revealed on the company's own support site, which listed down almost all of the specs. But as of now, the listing has already been taken down.

Fortunately, several sources were able to take down notes on what the devices will come with upon its official launch.

As detailed in Android Authority, the two devices are the successors to the OneTouch Idol 3 which was released last year. The Idol 4S is considered as the premium version with its 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED (1440x2560 pixels) resolution display while the Idol 4 is the smaller version sporting a 5.2-inch IPS LTPS Full HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display. Gadgets 360 noted that the latter device's display comes with OGS lamination.

In terms of their processors, the bigger one is powered with an octa-core 1.8 GHz and 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM while the smaller one comes with an octa-core 1.7 GHz and 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 2/3 GB of RAM.

The Idol 4S is built with an internal memory storage of 32 GB which can be expanded further up to 512 GB via microSD card slot. It is also equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera complete with dual-tone LED flash and EIS video stabilization. On the front is an 8-megapixel snapper that features an 84-degree wide-viewing angle and a front-facing flash. Keeping its light on is a 3000 mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Idol 4 model comes with 16 GB of inbuilt storage and can also be expanded just like the Idol 4S. As for its camera specs, it comes with a 13-megapixel rear snapper with the same features. The front is also 8-megapixels with the same wide viewing angle of its bigger variant. It carries a smaller battery which 2610 mAh.

Android Headlines reported that both devices are expected to be launched during the Mobile World Congress which will reveal further details.
