Alec Baldwin Shares What He Thinks Things Would Be Like If He Ran for President

Alec Baldwin shared the possibility of what it would be like if he ran for the presidency in the United States in 2020.

The "Saturday Night Live" comedian, known for his imitation of United States President Donald J. Trump, has recently expressed the idea on social media of what it would be like if he himself runs as a presidential candidate next term.

"If I run for a President, think of how entertaining the debates would be," the actor announced on Twitter through the Alec Baldwin Foundation account.

Baldwin's tweet earned almost 4,000 likes and earned over 260 responses, which had a mix of serious and entertaining replies from his followers.

One of his followers, Twitter user @DanagalCo, took his post very seriously and said that she wants to have "a REAL president" rather than just having entertainment.

Meanwhile, another user, @JasonMuses, was more concerned about who would imitate Baldwin in the late-night comedy show if he does run for president.

"But who would play you SNL?" the post reads.

However, Twitter user @bgalbs already has a solution on who would play Baldwin if he takes on the United States presidency.

"Would pay serious money for you to run and Trump to do impressions of you on SNL. Everyone wins big," said the follower.

Although Baldwin was only teasing his followers about running for president, he did present a move he would like to make if he does go run for the White House.

"I have an immigration strategy: Everyone who voted for Trump, leave," Baldwin said in his post. However, his strategy appeared to have gained backlash from pro-Trump individuals.

Twitter user @sdale32 replied to Baldwin's suggestion and said, "How about everyone who voted for Trump...stop watching Alec Baldwin films/shows bud?"

The said user even attempted to get NBC's "Saturday Night Live" involved by tagging them in another of his replies, taunting about Trump voters stopping their patronage of the program.
