'American Horror Story' Season 6 Spoilers, Release Date and Previews: New Promos May Be the Series' Creepiest to Date
Emmy and Golden Globe multi-awarded television series, "American Horror Story," has just released three new promos to ramp up hype for its sixth season--and all of them are spine-curlingly cryptic and creepy.
New promos
The first promo, with the title "Wind Chimes," features the pleasant sound of teeth chattering before a nurse suddenly appears with garden shears and hacks away at it.
The second promo is entitled "Camp Sight." It shows a seemingly unconscious woman lying on the grass, as a mysterious glare of light suddenly bursts from the sky (possibly aliens) abducts her, and an invisible force cracks her spine into two.
And last, but most definitely the eeriest of the three—a mysterious shadow-like creature is seen following a woman making her way up the stairs. Then, the shadow suddenly lunges as the screen turns black.
Each promo lasts exactly 15 seconds, which is enough to send anyone curling up, sleepless, under the covers.
Couple that with a cryptic new poster of dangling metal hooks covered up in blood to go along with its earlier spider-eyed lady promo, and we may just have AHS' most creep-tastic season yet.

What's in store for Season 6?
So, do they hint at what's in store for the next season? Previously, at the Television Critics' Association summer press tour, FX Chief Executive Officer John Landgraf said that not all of the teasers were accurate depictions of how the new season of the series was going to go.
Ever so slyly, he teased out that only one is accurate, all the rest, "a misdirect."
Co-creator Ryan Murphy, on the other hand, shared that while they normally release the subtitle for each new season months in advance, he, Landgraf, and marketing president Stephanie Gibbons decided to keep things under the hood.
Landgraf further added that while there is a setting for the series, they're not going to reveal it—just yet.
The series, which stars pop icon Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, and Cheyenne Jackson, is set to return to the tubes on September 14, 10 p.m., on FX.
