'Among The Sleep' Enhanced Edition to Roll Out on Nov. 2
On Monday, Oct. 30, Krillbite Studios has announced that they would be releasing an enhanced edition for their critically-acclaimed horror film "Among The Sleep" this coming Nov. 2 for the PC.
The developers shared the big news on their website and revealed that they had kept quiet for months just so they can work on improving their game.
According to the people behind Krillbite, the success of "Among The Sleep," both critically and commercially, had impacted their company in many ways and has helped them finance future projects, inspiring to explore other gameplay elements and design. However, they did admit that while the game has become a success, it is still far from perfect.
"Even though the game has been a critical and commercial success for us we were never really 100% happy with the end result. Stuff was left out, stuff was half-fixed and compromises were made," the studio admitted.
For this reason, they have decided to revisit the game, first released back in 2014, and improve many of its elements including the visuals and the gameplay performance. More than that, it has been revealed that there will be additional content for players and owners of the game, including an extra museum level which allows the exploration of the behind-the-scenes of the main game.
Furthermore, while "Among The Sleep" Enhanced Edition will be available for sale, it will also be available as free update for those who already own the game. However, the console version of the game is yet to be announced.
Out of all of this, Krillbite also did not forget to thank the fans of the game who have massively contributed to their success saying: "Among the Sleep probably wouldn't have been made if it weren't for the fans, we really mean it. We are extremely grateful for our fans that supported our Kickstarter ages ago, but also for all the new fans who have sent us letters, emails, drawings, tweets and fan mail saying they enjoyed our game and that something about the experience touched them."
