Meanwhile, the rollout of Android 5.0 Lollipop has been delayed. According to a tweet from Faryaab Sheikh of Sammobile, the reason for the delay should be blamed on Samsung's Gear VR headset.

"The reason why the Note 4 has not yet received the Lollipop update is that the folks at Oculus are busy tweaking the kernel for G VR," Sheikh wrote.

According to TechTimes, the Gear VR headset needs to be paired up with the Galaxy Note 4, which acts as the headset's display. The kernel of the Galaxy Note 4 needs to be tweaked to make sure that it will run smoothly with the headset after the device's upgrade to Android Lollipop.

In an exclusive preview of how the Lollipop update will appear on the Galaxy Note 4, Sammobile reports that the notification pull down menu will now be translucent. The settings menu will feature side scrollable tabs for different sections such as quick settings, connections, device settings, and more. All built in applications such as messages, dialer, calendar, email, task manager, and clock have been updated with Material design.

Speculations suggest that the update will be rolled out to the Galaxy Note 4 within February or in March.
