'Anime-Gataris' Episode 5 Spoilers: Anime Research Club to Face More Sinister Challenges?
The Anime Research Club may have managed to rise above the Student Council's latest threat, but something more challenging is coming their way on the next episode of the Japanese anime series, "Anime-Gataris." Can club president, Erika Aoyama still manage to keep the club together when the next threat hits her where it really hurts?
In the previous episode, the Student Council attempted to shut the Anime Club yet again by giving its members what seemed to be an impossible task; that is, to help the other school clubs make some significant progress. And although their initial efforts all ended up failing, it was Erika who ultimately stepped in and veered her club to the right path.
And now that the Anime Club has managed to work together in creating costumes for the drama club, owing to their love of cosplay and idol anime shows, the Student Council was left with no choice but to let them stay — at least for the time being.
Before the episode ended, the Student Council President was telling someone on the phone that the Anime Club situation was beyond her control now. She also seemed to have already given up trying and has instead left everything to whoever it was she was talking to on the phone.
On the other hand, the preview for the next episode teases what seems to be Minoa Asagaya's trip to her first anime convention. What will she learn about her newfound passion for anime? Can a new threat arise for the club even when they're so far away from school?
In other news, the jacket art and tracklist for the upcoming mini-album, "Good Luck Lilac," have been revealed. The said album features the anime ending theme, "Good Luck Lilac," sang by the unit GATALIS, consisting of the voice actresses Kaede Hondo, Sayaka Senbongi, and Hisako Tojo, who do the voices for Minoa, Arisu Kamiigusa, and Miko Koenji, respectively.
The album, which will be released on Wednesday, Nov. 22, will also include Minoa's solo version of the ending theme, and three mini-dramas, including one that features Neko Senpai as voiced by Hironori Kondo.
Additionally, a fan event has been announced, titled "Welcome to Asagaya Family's Christmas Party," which will be held in Tokyo on Sunday, Nov. 26.
"Anime-Gataris" airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX and on Wednesdays at midnight JST on BS Fuji. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes will also be simulcast in selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
