Argentina have been drawn in Group F for the World Cup, alongside Bosnia, Iran and Nigeria. It is arguably one of the weaker groups at this year's World Cup and Argentina are big favorites to emerge as group winners, with Nigeria firm favorites to qualify for the knock out rounds in second place.

However, Argentina will be hoping to build up some momentum and get the team playing effective and free-flowing football today. They are expected to gain a comfortable win against Trinidad today, but more than the result, the manner of the win will be important to build confidence and reassurance that their preparations are going well ahead of the World Cup starting.

Argentina have not made it through to the World Cup Final since 1990 when they lost to West Germany. They will believe that this year is their best chance for a long time to get into the final again, and especially with players like Barcelona's Lionel Messi and players of the caliber of Pablo Zabaleta, Angel di Maria, Sergio Aguero, and Gonzalo Higuain, anything less than a final appearance would be seen as a disappointment for the nation.
