Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition Unveiled; Specs Include 5.5-Inch Display, 4 GB of RAM, 13MP Camera
Asus fans who loved the Zenfone 2 will also love the other variant of the device that the Taiwanese company has just officially unveiled. According to Softpedia, Asus revealed the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition on Tuesday which was announced back in August 2015.
The device appears with a stylish look with specs that will make it a powerful device. It's also a "refreshed version" with a different processor as Phones Review noted that the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition comes with a 2.5 GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor. It is also pre-installed with a whopping 256 GB of internal storage, although a 128 GB version is available.
GSM Arena detailed that it comes with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a microSD card slot is available for further expansion of memory storage of up to 1 TB. Apart from those hardware specs, the device is practically the same with the original variant.
Thus, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition also features a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display. It supports full HD with 1920 x 1080p resolution. It is also topped with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection coating.
As for the camera specs, the smartphone carries a 13-megapixel Pixelmaster rear camera with 5P Largan lens, f/2.0 aperture and dual LED Real-tone flash. It also has a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle lens.
Giving it life and power is a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery pack which can be charged up easily with the BoostMaster fast charging feature. The device also supports LTE Cat 4+ and runs with Android Lollipop operating system together with Asus' Zen UI. There are two available color options which include the Carbon Night and Drift Silver.
As of now, there are no details yet on how much the smartphone will cost and when it will be exactly up for sale but it's expected to be divulged soon. It's also likely to launch in China first followed by a global release.
