Eren and the whole people of Wall Sina saw that the damaged wall houses a Titan. The team also found out that besides Eren and Annie, there are also other humans that can change into Titans.
According to Cross Map, the new season was supposed to be released this year; however, the website added that the director of "Attack on Titan" season 2, Tetsuro Araki, is still waiting for additional arcs to add to the upcoming season.
Season 1 included four stories from the manga, which included "The Fall of Shiganshina," "104th Trainees Squad," "Battle of Trost District," and "The Female Titan" arcs. The manga version of the series is currently two arcs ahead of the anime, which is why the next season will be delayed until next year.
