'Avengers 4' News, Release Date: New Atlanta Set Photos Feature S.H.I.E.L.D. Logo on Tony Stark's Suit

"Avengers: Infinity War" has yet to hit theaters, but the fourth and final installment in the "Avengers" franchise is already in production. Recently, new set photos from the set of the untitled "Avengers 4" have emerged, showing Robert Downey, Jr. in his Tony Stark suit.

Filming for "Avengers 4" has been underway since the middle of summer, so it's no surprise that photos from its Atlanta set have been out in recent months. While previous set photos revealed that Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) would don a new suit and that part of the film would feature a Japanese setting, the new set photos hint that the upcoming film would have a connection with Marvel's S.H.I.E.L.D.

The new set photos made the rounds online earlier this week, featuring Mark Ruffalo, as he does a motion capture for Hulk, and Downey as Stark wearing a tactical suit. Since the photos have emerged, there have been speculations that "Avengers 4" would somewhat have a connection with the S.H.I.E.L.D., particularly because of Stark's suit, which allegedly bears the logo of the popular law enforcement division in the original Marvel comics.

Although it is difficult to confirm that it's the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo that's featured on Stark's suit, the grey background and black bird-like figure that can be made out of the small image makes it possible. According to reports, since Stark seems to be standing in the same building as Hulk, the image could be a flashback scene to "Avengers" when Stark donned a non-threatening suit to calm Ruffalo's character down.

Meanwhile, the new photos from the Atlanta set also reveal some of the film's returning actors, including Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Terry Notary as Corvus Glaive, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

"Avengers: Infinity War" will hit theaters on May 4, 2018. The untitled "Avengers 4" film is set for release a year later on May 3, 2019.
