'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Trailer This November or December
"The Avengers: Age of Ultron," the sequel to the hit Marvel blockbuster "The Avengers" is scheduled for a May 1, 2015 premiere in 2D and IMAX 3D. The film is directed by Joss Whedon -- who also directs Marvel's television series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" -- and will be produced by Kevin Geige.
The film will take place after the events of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" where S.H.I.E.L.D. has been destroyed and disbanded and the Avengers composing of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, need a break from continuously stopping threats to mankind.
To do this, Tony Stark creates Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence who can assess threats and control Stark's "Iron Legion." However, Ultron decides that the humans themselves are the main threats and sets out to destroy humanity. Naturally, it is now up to the Avengers to stop Ultron from destroying humanity.
While the film is still a year away, there are already rumors that the trailer for the film is going to come out sometime in November and December, as with how Marvel's trailers for summer blockbusters come out during the holiday season. There are still no confirmations on whether or not Whedon is putting together a trailer but the possibility is high.
If the rumros are true about the trailer being made, then the "Age of Ultron" trailer could be released alongside Christopher Nolan's trailer for the upcoming film "Interstellar."
