'Battleborn' Update: Gameplay Video Reveals Skills of Ghalt and Deande
The first-person shooter video game "Battleborn" isn't coming out until May but fans are already excited to take it for a spin. Developer Gearbox Software has even heightened the hype more by releasing gameplay trailers that feature the skills and actions of the new characters revealed last month, Trevor Ghalt and Deande.
As detailed in a Game Spot article, the gameplay footage trailers show how the two characters have different play styles.
As seen on the video featuring Trevor Ghalt, the character possesses a skill wherein he dual-wields revolver shotguns that can give off eight-shot magazines. He also makes use of a "hook and trap" strategy wherein he utilizes a hook and chain to grab enemies closer to his shotgun's firing range. Aside from that, he also utilizes "deployable traps" that will shock his foes. As for Ghalt's character background, Game Planet noted that Ghalt is the first Battleborn. He is a former peacekeeper dedicated in saving the last star of the universe called Solus.
On the other hand, Deande is seen in the trailer with her fan blade knives for melee and ranged attacks. She also has the ability to spawn clones of herself and move around maps without being noticed. It will then explode after eight seconds or when she dies. With the burst from the explosion, it causes enemies to be knocked down, weakening them altogether. Her ultimate ability however is stunning up to five enemies while creating massive damage.
PC Gamer detailed that Deande is a stealthy assassin who served the Jennerit Empire as the Spymaster for more than 1000 years prior to the ruling of the villain Lothar Rendain. She has spent several years trying to incapacitate the enemy's star killing campaign.
The game, "Battleborn," is scheduled to release on May 3 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
