'Big Brother' 2014: Head of Household Makes Himself Huge Target, is the House Turning Against Him?
During last night's "Big Brother," a front-runner made himself a huge target in the house but managed to get his way in nearly every aspect. Two new nominees are on the block but one is reportedly "safe," according to the Head of Household, while the other remains a target.
Devin and Amber were both crowned Head of Household last week. Feeling guilty about spreading unfounded rumors about Donny, Devin decided to come clean with his former alliance partner and the entire house. He took credit for last week's nominees, leading Brittany to claim that he was behind everything and was more powerful than he let on. That made Devin angry – he did not want anyone questioning his integrity, so Brittany quickly became his target.
At the nomination ceremony, Devin put Brittany and Paola up for eviction, while Amber nominated Hayden and Nicole. Devin told Hayden and Nicole that they were perfectly safe and that Brittany was his target. He also met with Paola and promised that he would take her to the end of the game if she would only throw the Battle of the Block competition, ensuring that she and Brittany would remain up for eviction.
During the Battle of the Block, Hayden and Nicole guaranteed their safety, meaning that Amber was no longer Head of Household, giving Devin complete power. Paola later admitted to the cameras that she had thrown the competition to save herself, leaving Brittany alone to fight for her survival.
However, Devin's overreach of authority could come back to haunt him should Brittany secure enough votes to stay in the house. She has said that she will stop him from running over everyone.
"Hell no, I'm not going home," Nicole said upon learning that she was not the target. "I'm staying and coming after you."
Devin has a huge target on his back as more and more houseguests become frustrated with his attitude and sense of entitlement. Things could backfire big time, leaving him vulnerable and the next player up for eviction once his reign as Head of Household is over.
"Big Brother" airs Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights on CBS.
