Blake Lively Says Sexual Harassment Happens in Every Industry

Weeks after saying that she was never sexually harassed by former The Weinstein Company CEO Harvey Weinstein, Blake Lively has talked about the subject of sexual harassment in a recent interview with Star2. Lively also talked about how she knew that her husband Ryan Reynolds was the one for her.

Just recently, Hollywood was plagued with countless sexual harassment issues, all of which started with several celebrities claiming that they'd been sexually harassed or assaulted by Weinstein. Although Lively previously said she's not among Weinstein's victims, she admitted earlier this week that she's had her fair share of harassments too.

The "Gossip Girl" star described sexual harassment as a taboo topic in Hollywood, but she insisted that this happens in every industry — it's just that many women take it for granted. "Whether you are working in a grocery store or starring in a movie, despicable behavior happens. If it's something very small, like cupping your butt or making some comment, I am not going to report that, because that is just the way it is," she said.

Regarding the most recent wave of scandals involving Weinstein, Ryan Reynolds' wife said she's glad that people are finally speaking out. It can be recalled that for the last couple of months, several celebrities and production personalities revealed themselves as victims of Weinstein and filed charges against the renowned film and TV producer.

Lively went on to share how she was harassed by a makeup artist years ago when she was filmed without her permission while she was asleep. According to her, she reported it to the producers of the project, but they did nothing. It was only when she took the case to her lawyer that the makeup artist was fired from the production.

Elsewhere in the interview, Lively said she knew Reynolds was "the one" because she knew they could be best friends for the rest of their lives. "I knew right away that we would be together forever, and that he would be mine. That was it," she said.
