'Blend S' Episode 5 Spoilers: Maika to Develop Her Own Deceptively Sadistic Archetype?
A character survey has just revealed that Café Stile's sadistic archetype, Maika Sakuranomiya, is not living up to their expectations. Now, it seems that their efforts of fixing this may have just backfired in a rather unexpected way on the Japanese workplace comedy anime series, "Blend S."
The previous episode saw the adult manga artist, Miu Amano, officially joining Café Stile's staff as the big sister archetype. And while her real intention of working at the said café is to gather some materials for her next adult manga project, she also happens to be good at playing the role of the big sister who provides the café's patrons with the best customer service.
On the other hand, Maika's sadistic character was not living up to the role, as revealed by the result of a customer survey. In response to this, the staff decided to work together to turn Maika into the ultimate sadist archetype by exposing her to various dark-themed media.

However, the character that came out was so extreme that Maika was told to tone it back down to her usual stride. But since she was so relieved at not having to treat the café's customers so cruelly anymore, she became so enthusiastic about providing quality service that she ended up unintentionally torturing one customer anyway by refilling his glass with water again and again.
Will this enthusiasm be eventually contained, or will it only build into Maika's own brand of a deceptively adorable sadistic character, whose best intentions almost always turn into torture devices?

"Blend S" airs on Saturdays late night at 12:30 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and BS11. It also airs on AT-X on Mondays at 8 p.m. JST.
