'Boruto: Naruto the Movie' Release Date News: US Premiere Date Moved to October 10

The new Uzumaki Naruto film "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will be delayed in the United States since it was moved three days after its original schedule.

The new "Naruto" movie was originally scheduled for release this Oct. 7, but was moved to Oct. 10, according to Viz Media's announcement that was reported by Design & Trend. Viz Media is partnering with Eleven Arts to help release the film, which will be shown in cinemas in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Texas.

The delay of the movie's release date in the United States was not explained, but fans have speculated that it was because "Naruto's" creator, Masashi Kishimoto, is still wrapped up in another project, and also because of a rumored "Naruto" live-action movie negotiation. According to the report, Lionsgate is negotiating with Kishimoto to gain rights for the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" live-action adaptation.

According to Movie News Guide, Kishimoto teased to fans that he is working on a "Naruto" sci-fi series, and is currently finalizing the designs of the character. Although the project he is developing is a new "Naruto" series, Kishimoto said that it is still not 100 percent sure as of now.

In another interview with Entermix as reported by Anime News Network, the "Naruto" creator said that he wants his new sci-fi project to be a "hit," just like what happened with "Naruto." "I don't know when I'll announce my new work, but please wait for my challenge of a work that will surpass Naruto."

"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" tells about the story of Boruto, who is Naruto's son. Boruto, or Bolt, does not like his father much since Naruto is not always there for him. Naruto has now become a Hokage, and is busy to be their town's hero. Boruto resented his father for this, and wants to become a better ninja so that he can defeat his father.
