Brittny Gastineau Reveals Black Eye: Socialite Assaulted by Famous Artist? (PHOTO)

Brittny Gastineau revealed a black eye on Tuesday night and reports claim she may have been the victim of a domestic assault.

The socialite, who is often photographed with reality star Kim Kardashian, revealed her gruesome eye injury while dining at Mr Chow in Beverly Hills earlier this week. Reports claim Gastineau sustained the injury during a violent brawl with famous street artist Marquis Lewis, who goes by the name Retna, however, his attorney maintains that she was the aggressor.

"Retna was not the aggressor," Lewis' attorney Michael Goldstein told TMZ.com.

The incident reportedly occurred last week at the London Hotel in West Hollywood where Lewis was reportedly recovering after having undergone major knee surgery.

Reports claim that Gastineau, 31, visited the well known artist at the hotel and at some point things turned awry. Goldstein claims that during the altercation, Lewis sustained injuries to his face, his hand and his ear.

The pair are said to be in the process of settling their differences and Goldstein described their current relationship as "they're cool with each other."

Last month Gastineau was linked to famous magician David Blaine, 41, after the pair reportedly connected at Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West in Italy. The pair were photographed leaving the nuptials together.

"They were flirty all night Friday at the rehearsal dinner and on Saturday," an alleged guest told People magazine.

"There was definitely something there between them," said another guest. "They left the wedding together that night."

Gastineau is the daughter of former reality star Lisa Gastineau and former New York Jets player Mark Gastineau.

"They definitely made a connection," the source said of Gastineau and Blaine. "But who knows what will happen."

In 2005 the former E! star and her mother starred in the popular reality TV show "The Gastineau Girls," which followed their quests for love.
