Bruce Jenner Woman Rumors Upset Former Olympian; Family Outraged by Magazine Cover
Last week, Bruce Jenner's face was Photoshopped to have lipstick and blush on it for an InTouch cover, which outraged friends and family members of the former Olympian. Jenner has yet to respond to the magazine's claim that he will be coming out as a "transwoman" in 2015, but on Wednesday, UsWeekly reported that Jenner will address his changing look in an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
"Bruce was upset by the InTouch story," said a source to Us Weekly. "Bruce and Kris address his changing appearance in a scene they shot together. It will be a plotline."
The athlete has been reportedly pressured to talk about it. "His family has been pushing him to make a statement. It's a serious subject," adds the source.
Meanwhile, petitioners are demanding that InTouch should apologize to Jenner for the Photoshopped cover.
"Publicly speculating as to whether or not someone will be coming out as a transgender illustrates a flippant lack of empathy toward people who actually struggle with making a gender transition," explained Julie Mastrine, creator of the online petition. According to PageSix, the petition had nearly 1,080 signatures as of Jan. 20.
Comedian Russel Brand also defended Jenner in his web series, "The Trews".
"This is bullying," said Brand. "Stop! Bruce Jenner is a human being …This climate of bullying and judgment and cruelty is a violence of its own nature."
Jenner's family is standing by his side as Khloe Kardashian shared a photo of the Olympian looking happy with the Kardashian girls Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney as well as his daughters Kendall and Kylie beside him. The image was posted on Instagram on Monday, and Khloe simply captioned the photo, "Family."
