'Call of Duty: WWII' Available for Pre-Loading on Xbox One Ahead of Release
"Call of Duty: WWII" is now available to pre-load on the Xbox One.
With the all-new "Call of Duty: WWII" only a few weeks away from its scheduled release, Activision is now allowing players to pre-load the game. Sadly for PS4 users, this is only available for Xbox One owners. Also, the new "Call of Duty" centered on the second world war will not be available for play until the game's launch, so preloading "Call of Duty: WWII" doesn't mean Xbox One players would be able to gain early access.
This latest move made by Activision would definitely benefit Xbox One owners that have slow internet connection. Not only that, a post on Reddit had revealed that the game is sized at a staggering 45.14 gigabytes. This may be too much of a size to some, but comparing it to the recently released "Middle Earth: Shadow of War," which is at 98 gigabytes, and the "Forza 7" at almost 100 gigabytes, including its 50-gigabyte one-day patch, "Call of Duty: WWII" is smaller.
A day one patch may also be required for "Call of Duty: WWII," but it won't be as big as that of "Forza 7." Players who wish to pre-load the game should only make sure that they have available space on the HDD sufficient to the size required.
Along with this news, Activision had also released a new live-action trailer for the upcoming "Call of Duty: WWII." The new trailer, which makes use of the song "Figure It Out" by Blood Royal, features a group of friends who when finding out that the all-new "Call of Duty" will be centered on World War II, sets out to gather all of their friends together.
"It's time to get your squad back together," says the video's description.
"Call of Duty: WWII" will be released on Nov. 3 on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. As of this publishing, no word has been made if the game will be available to pre-load on the PS4.
