Carrie Underwood News: Singer Surprises Fans in 'Undercover' Stint

Success isn't just found in the music industry, and Carrie Underwood has proven that there is more to her lovely songs and music videos as she recently went undercover to promote her new line of fitness wear, Calia.

According to People, the American Idol winner wore a dark brown wig, a black hat, and glasses to keep fans from immediately recognizing her. The undercover moment was filmed at a Dick's Sporting Goods store wherein she helped fans look for the clothes that would fit them perfectly.

"I'm the Calia rep from the head Dick's Sporting Goods store. I'm here for the day, just kind of checking things out," she says to one of the women who was checking out her clothing line. She also tells one buyer that she knows the line's designer, proving that going undercover is really a fun thing to do for celebrities and famous people.

The video, which is posted on the line's official YouTube page, shows how at first buyers didn't recognize her. However, at the middle of her busy day, a fan realized that she had been talking to the famous singer all this time.

Another fan also recognized her the first time she bumped into the weird sales lady. "Oh my God! Are you Carrie Underwood?" the fan asked without hesitation. She also said that Underwood's presence made her heart pound.

A buyer even got the chance to hug the 32-year-old singer, and pretty soon, other buyers started blowing the singer's undercover.

Underwood is the winner of "American Idol's" fourth season, and since then, she has become a country sensation all around the world. She has been inducted to the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame and has bagged seven Grammy Awards. Aside from the Grammys, she also took home 17 Billboard Music Awards, 11 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 9 American Music Awards.

One of the most sensational songs that she debuted is "Jesus Take the Wheel," which topped Billboard's Hot Country Songs for six consecutive weeks. Her most recent single, "Little Toy Guns," is nominated for a Grammy this year.
