'Castle' Season 8 Episode 9 Spoilers: Rick and Kate Get Closer
The upcoming episode of "Castle" season 8 is expected to see Rick Castle and Kate Beckett much closer after pretending to be separated.
The previous episodes of the season have portrayed the couple as separated. It was reported that this was just an act they play in front of their family in friends when in fact, the two are still together.
With that, the executive producer of the series, Alexi Hawley, recently spoke to TV Line about how the couple will be portrayed in the episodes to come. He revealed that the two will be seen much closer than before.
He said, "There's a lot of 'lost time to make up for,' so to speak, in the bedroom. So there is some friskiness."
However, their closeness will not be the only focus of the upcoming episode. It was revealed that the couple will continue taking on cases. One of the cases they will be working on involves an a cappella group.
In addition, it was also revealed that the couple will be involved with a Russian diplomatic security agent named Vasily Zhirov. The character will be played by Nick E. Tarabay from "Spartacus." Hawley shared some teasers about the new character. As reported by Carter Matt, he stated, "We get a little Red Heat action. We have a diplomatic security agent from Russia who comes, because there is the death of a Russian national. He's a big character."
He also added that the rest of the season will get deeper into Castle's disappearance in the previous season. According to Spoilers Guide, Hawley shared, "We're going to go to Castle's missing time next. Not right away when the season resumes Feb. 1, but definitely in the middle third of the season... We haven't nailed the story down for it. And it does have something to do with Beckett."
"Castle" season 8 episode 9, titled "Tone Death," will air on ABC this Feb. 1.
