'Castle' Season 8 News: Spin-Off Series for Esposito?

Fans of the series "Castle" experienced another breakup between Rick and Kate in the previous episode of "Castle" season 8, which caused questions of the fate of the series.

The episode titled "Tone Death" saw Kate Beckett, played by Stana Katic, and Rick Castle, played by Nathan Fillion, acting like they were not together anymore in front of their friends. Their act caused some drama between their friends.

Esposito, played by Jon Huertas, and Ryan, played by Seamus Dever, began making speculations about the couple's rough patch. Their theory was that Rick was cheating on Kate. Rick and Kate, determined to keep their relationship a secret, decided to ride along.

With that, Rick pretended as though he was dating a Russian model named Svetlana, while Kate pretended to be romantically linked to a man named Dr. Livingstone.

However, their unusual antics left fans unhappy about the outcome of the series. Many fans took their frustrations out on social media. Some commented that the hidden relationship had no point at all.

Meanwhile, there have been speculations that there will be a spin-off series for "Castle," which will star Seamus Dever. This was due to Dever's recent statement to E! Online, where he revealed that he is interested in starring in a spin-off series that is centered on Esposito and Ryan.

He stated, "I always thought Ryan and Esposito would make fantastic spin-off material. From the very beginning, Jon Huertas and I have a really good rapport, great dynamic, and we have a lot of fun together. I mean, it's pretty simple. We're one of the only procedurals on ABC so it's like hey, you need a procedural? Espo and Ryan, they're going to solve crimes just like they do on the original show!"

"Castle" season 8 airs on ABC every Monday night.
