Charlize Theron, Sean Penn Planning Wedding, Adoption? Couple to Tie Knot 'Very Soon'

Charlize Theron and Sean Penn are reportedly eager to get married and adopt a child together.

The couple, who began dating late last year, have been seemingly inseparable in recent months and insiders claim they intend to walk down the aisle soon. In addition to planning a wedding, the "A Million Ways to Die" star, 38, and the famed Hollywood actor, 53, are in the process of adopting a child, according to Us magazine.

"They want to get married very soon," a source told Us adding that Theron "always intended to have another child."

Theron, who has known Penn for close to two decades, is already Mom to 2-year-old Jackson, who she adopted back in 2012. Penn, who shares two children with ex-wife actress Robin Wright, is said to be a "strong role model" to Theron's son.

"Sean and I have known each other for 18 years. We were just really good friends. And it's been slow going because you are aware that you could screw that up and lose it," Theron told the June issue of Vogue.

"We had to think about it. But at the end of the day, it was somewhat effortless," she continued. "The people who really love me can see the effect it has had on me."

The couple is expected to travel to Theron's native of South African in coming weeks, to film a new drama "The Last Face." Theron will star in it while Penn produces it.

"Sean is revitalized with Charlize," the source said.

In 2010 Theron and the Ambassador-at-Large for Haiti sparked romance reports after they were photographed having dinner in Santa Monica. At the time sources insisted they were just friends.

Prior to Penn, the South African actress dated Irish actor Stuart Townsend for close to a decade after having met him on the set of "Trapped." Penn was once married to Wright and pop star Madonna.
