Chennai have arguably been the best IPL team over the past three seasons, but they have had to deal with a spot-fixing scandal that has brought unwanted attention their way.

Coach Stephen Fleming has said, "There's a lot going on, I won't lie. There are a lot of distractions (leading up to the tournament). I think we were all uncertain about how it was going to play out."

However, the CSK, who are led by India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, have been one of the most consistent teams over recent years and they need that consistency and the confidence that comes with it to weather the storm this season.

They will also have to deal with losing key players Australian Michael Hussey and South African Albie Morkel, this season after losing them in the players' auction.

Instead they have drafted in replacements in the form of New Zealand's Brendan McCullum and South Africa's Faf du Plessis.
