'Children of the Whales' Episode 6 Spoilers: Mud Whale Prepares For Battle; Can They Take the Empire Down?

In four days, the Mud Whale will once again be turned into a battlefield, only this time the residents will be armed and ready to defend themselves on the Japanese action-fantasy anime series, "Children of the Whales." But will they really be able to drive away the extermination project that is meant to wipe them off completely?

The previous episode saw Chakuro, Lykos and their crew face to face with the Mud Whales' own Nous, hidden away in the bowels of the ship. Interestingly enough, the mysterious girl Neri seemed to know the Nous and even called it Mother before disappearing into its core.

What has happened to Neri? And what did Lykos really mean when she revealed that the Nous did not really have the power to eat emotions?

Lykos, despite having been part of the extermination army herself, may have already proved one too many times that her loyalty lies with the Mud Whale. Still, Chakuro and the Mud Whales' new chieftain, Suou, could not help but feel that Lykos was not telling them everything she knew.

What information could she be withholding, and how will these untold truths affect the eventual outcome of their upcoming battle with her people. Could she have really sided with the Mud Whale, also known as the sinners of Faleina? Or could she only be acting the part?

On the other hand, now that the Elders have proven themselves to be quite an untrustworthy crew, could Suou's chieftain status now entail more authority, as opposed to the previous chieftain being just the middleman between the elders and the Mud Whale residents?

Then again, will a pacifist like him really be able to lead his people to fight against the upcoming threat of the Empire?
