'ClassicaLoid' Season 2 Episode 5 Spoilers: Can Schubert's Music Change the World?

Schubert is out to prove that music can and will change the world on the next episode of the Japanese music-themed comedy anime series, "ClassicaLoid" season 2. Also, will Chopin ever prove that the hippopotamus Dovo can actually talk?

The previous episode saw the seemingly harmless pygmy hippo, Dovo, turn into a popular celebrity when it was first believed that taking photos of him and setting it as wallpaper on one's phone could bring about luck with either money or love.

But while Dovo seemed to take all the attention in stride, the shy and withdrawn Chopin took to the idea much too seriously and has even begun considering the hippo as his kindred spirit.

Moreover, the episode also treated audiences to Dovo's thoughts for the first time, and he did seem to be quite a sage with more than a handful of practical and philosophical knowledge and ideas to share.

It was just too bad that only Chopin knew this for a fact, which, in turn, made him despise the hippo in the end for saying too much of the things he didn't want to hear.

But will the others ever find out the truth about Dovo, who he really is supposed to be, and what role he is about to play in future episodes?

The preview for the next episode titled "A Great Man" teases a narrative centered around the idealistic Schubert, who seems to be on a mission to prove that music has the power to change the world for the better. Will he be able to prove this as true, or will he end up losing faith in his own music instead?

The upcoming episode will also feature music inspired by Schubert's piece, "The Great C Major," as performed by the character's voice actor, Tomoaki Maeno.

"ClassicaLoid" season 2 airs on Saturdays at 5:35 p.m. JST on NHK.
