'Conan Exiles' Update 22: Dye and Ruin Systems, Eight New Weapons Added to Game
Funcom's video game "Conan Exiles" recently received a new update, adding several new features as well as some exploit fixes.
The latest "Conan Exiles" patch called Update #22 went live on Thursday, March 23, and comes with new features, weapons as well as other content.
According to GameRant, the update introduced at least two much-awaited systems — the Dye System and the Ruin System. Update #22 also arrived with eight new weapons, more knowledge points, revamped feat requirements and a new Hyena fur armor set.
The new Dye System of "Conan Exiles" is considered as the main star of Update #22. It requires gamers to harvest any amount of new resources, which can be turned into dyes. Then, the players can use the dyes they have created on the various dye channels which have been set up in various armors. Some of these armor pieces come with more channels than the rest, so gamers will get to experiment what looks best on their playable characters.
On the other hand, the Ruin System — also known as the Decay System — allows older buildings that are left unused to eventually fade away. Funcom has disabled the system by default on private servers since some people don't want to see their structures turning into dust if they take a break from playing for a week. However, the Ruin System will be enabled by default on the game's official servers.
In other news, Funcom recently detailed plans for future content updates for "Conan Exiles." Around $5 to $10 million will be invested in the video game this year, with an early access version for the Xbox One slated for launch in the third quarter of 2017. The game will also arrive on the PlayStation 4, though there are currently no plans to bring the game title to the Nintendo Switch.
"Conan Exiles" is currently available on PC, and is scheduled for full launches on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One in 2018.
