Conor McGregor News: 'The Notorious' Sends Out Response To Floyd Mayweather's Racism Accusations

UFC featherweight champion and current lightweight title contender Conor McGregor issued another response to retired undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

His statements were still in relation to "Money May's" previous cries of racism.

According to Mayweather, there is a bias in the fact that he is being branded as "arrogant" and "cocky" for using brash trash talk as a method of self-promotion. But he says that whenever McGregor did the same, he received praises over it.

McGregor had already issued an initial response early this month through a lengthy Facebook post. In the said reply, "The Notorious" also challenged Mayweather to a fight, with an 80/20 purse split in his favor. This, he says, was based on Floyd Jr.'s last fight against former world champion Andre Berto, a fight that did not do as well in terms of pay-per-view numbers.

McGregor is currently slated to face UFC 155-pound king Rafael dos Anjos as the headliner for UFC 197, which will take place in March, in Las Vegas. During the pre-fight press conference for the said event, which was held on Wednesday, McGregor issued his second statement in reply to Mayweather's previous comments.

The 27-year-old prizefighter specifically took note of how he did not appreciate Mayweather "putting him in a name that has got to do with prejudice."

He added that people are usually "buried in the desert for less than that."

"I think Floyd needs to learn before he opens his mouth," McGregor said, according to a Boxingscene report. "You don't put a man like me in a situation like that."

"I am a product of many cultures as a young Irishman," he added. "I know he was not saying I am (racist), but he was putting me in that bracket."

McGregor has been ripping on Mayweather since the latter quarter of 2015. Prior to his fight against two-time title contender Chad Mendes in July 2015, McGregor said in his appearance on "Conan" that he would easily "dismantle" Floyd Mayweather.
