Coolpad Note 3 Lite Launched; Specs Include 5-Inch Display, 13MP Camera, Fingerprint Scanner

Shenzhen-based smartphone manufacturer Coolpad has recently launched in India a new smartphone called the Note 3 Lite. According to IBN Live, the device is the company's first "Made in India" phone and it will be exclusively available on Amazon.in with a price tag of only Rs. 6,999 ($103).

As noted in The Economic Times, the Note 3 Lite is the smaller version of Coolpad's budget phablet Note 3, which was released back in October. They released the variant for the purpose of giving customers an option to carry a smaller version with the same features of the Note 3.

As for the specs, the Note 3 Lite comes with a 5-inch IPS display with an HD (720 x 1280) resolution. It has a removable back cover and is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC. It is paired with 3 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal storage space. It can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card slot. Aside from that, it supports dual SIM and carries 2500 mAh non-removable battery.

Gadgets 360 detailed that Coolpad claimed the Note 3 Lite has the capacity to deliver up to 10 hours of talk-time and a maximum of 200 hours of standby time. Its connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GSM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and Micro-USB.

For the camera specs, the new smartphone features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and autofocus and a 5-megapixel front camera. Tech 2 noted that both cameras are equipped with CMOS image sensor, giving users better quality image when taking photos.

The device also sports a fingerprint sensor that is located at the back. It's deemed to be the highlight of the handset as it not only allow users to unlock the device but it also serves to secure applications individually.

"With a reliability test of one million presses and 2.0 technology, the Note 3 Lite's fingerprint sensor can be used for 9 years," said Coolpad, according to the IBN Live report.

The Indian Express detailed that the first flash sale of the device will be on Jan. 28. So for those who have their eye on the Coolpad Note 3 Lite, they know what to do on that day.
