'Dark Souls 2' Coming to PS4 and Xbox One With Three DLC Chapters, PS3 and Xbox 360 Users Get Patch v1.10
From Software's notoriously difficult "Dark Souls 2" game is coming to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One April next year as an enhanced version called "Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin." Alongside the re-release of the game for the next-gen consoles, three DLC chapters.
The DLC chapters will be titled "Crown of the Sunken King," "Crown of the Old Iron King," and "Crown of the Ivory King." The re-release promises a graphically improved "Dark Souls 2", improved online multiplayer, new enemies, gameplay improvements, and an NPC character.
For players who already have "Dark Souls 2" on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, From Software will be releasing patch v1.10 as recompense for those who won't be making the switch to the next-gen consoles.

While v1.10 gives the same balancing as the re-release as well as the additional NPC for the quests, it does not give all the enhancements given to the re-release with the addition of the three bonus DLCs. Also, it seems that a re-release for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 will also be released eventually, essentially the same game with v1.10 but with the DLC bundles.
For those who won't be making the switch to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One version but want the DLC bundles, they will have to re-purchase the game for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It's also important to note that multiplayer won't be supporting cross-platform connectivity. This means that Playstation 3 players won't be able to play with Playstation 4 players.
The re-release is expected to be released a month after "Bloodborne," also a From Software title which experienced a delay from February to March 2015.
