'Deadpool 2' News Update: First Teaser Debuted Before 'Logan' Screenings this Weekend

The production of "Deadpool 2" may have been mired with several drawbacks and controversies, but it seems that the film is finally coming together. The movie even managed to issue a new teaser which delivers exactly what "Deadpool" fans would expect.

The four-minute teaser video is titled "No Good Deed" and it was presented like a short standalone movie in front of thousands of "Logan" audiences in theaters during the weekend.

The video starts with Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) walking on a deserted urban street where he witnesses a mugging incident.

In an effort to save the old man from the robber, Wade rushes to a nearby phone booth to change into his superhero "Deadpool" suit, but he has a hard time fitting into it and it takes him too long to finish. When he is finally ready, the robber has already shot the poor victim and leaves him for dead on the street.

Upon seeing the victim, Deadpool apologizes for spending too much time in the phone booth and said that he could have just called 911.

The hero then proceeds to say that Logan should have been able to save the victim, as "he doesn't have to change into anything. All he wears is jeans and a tank-top."

By the end of the video, the release date of "Deadpool 2" is not specified, but is only said to be "Coming," but "not soon enough."

The upcoming superhero sequel is confirmed to be directed by David Leitch (producer of "John Wick") after its first director, Tim Miller, left the project due to creative differences with lead star Reynolds who also serves as a producer for the film.

The misunderstanding was rooted from the fact that Reynolds was given more creative rein for the project.

Casting for the sequel is already underway, and the upcoming movie is expected to get a 2018 release date from 20th Century Fox.
