'Deadpool' Game News: Game Out Now For PS4 And Xbox One Gamers
Gamers who loved the original 2013 "Deadpool" game will love this piece of news: the game has been released for current generation consoles, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, according to a report in International Business Times. Developer High Moon Studios and publisher Activision has made the PS4 and Xbox One version available last November 17.
The game is based on the Marvel comics character Deadpool, also known as the "Merc with a Mouth." The character is known for his humorous dialogue as well as his penchant for breaking the fourth wall, which means he always addresses the audience in his various dialogues.
The game is described as a "top cut of gun-and-katana-seared action, drizzled with an aioli of maniac sass and quips." While the game brings Deadpool's characteristic gun- and katana-wielding combat, it also showcases what fans like most about the character – his humor.
According to the report, the game is supposedly something that Deadpool wanted to make for a long time and he ends up threatening High Moon studios so that the game can be made. In the game, Deadpool is seen in action with other "X-Men" characters such as Cable, Wolverine, Rogue and others. The game's main mission is to defeat his long time archenemy, Mr. Sinister.
In order to bring to the game the character's fourth-wall breaking dialogue and quips, long time "Deadpool" writer Daniel Way worked on the game's script. Way is responsible for bringing the character to life, having penned over 50 issues for Marvel comics. Nolan North lends his voice as Deadpool.
An IGN report says that the release will be costing $50 and will come bundled with all the DLC content that the game previously received since its original 2013 launch. This includes the bonus challenge maps of GRT Plaza and Inside the Tower. Deadpool's Uncanny X-Forces and D-Pooly costumes are also included in this release.
