'Destiny 2': PC Version Available for Pre-Order in Germany
The highly-awaited game sequel, "Destiny 2" has recently been the talk of the gaming community with the recent leak of its official poster online, which led to suggestions that major announcements about the upcoming game would be made in the near future. However, it looks like GameStop customers in Germany would not need to wait as long for updates since the PC version of the game is now available for pre-order in German GameStop stores.
The reports stem from a post shared by Twitter user and Twitch moderator SenSnowy, who shared a photo of his pre-order receipt from the Hannover branch of GameStop for the "Destiny 2" Limited Edition PC version, priced at €110 (or $119).
According to SenSnowy, the pre-order receipt also shows a release date of Sept. 17. However, GameStop employees have reportedly stated that the September date they provided is only a placeholder.
The reveal has yet to be confirmed and official parties involved — such as GameStop, Bungie or Activision — have yet to issue an official statement about the leak. However, according to GameRant, the postcode, telephone number and branch information indicated on the receipt match with the actual details of the Hannover branch of GameStop.
At one point, pre-orders for the PC version of "Destiny 2" were not just limited to in-store customers but were also made available on GameStop.de. Although these pages have since been removed from the site, a glimpse of the site's cached version suggests that announcements about the highly-anticipated video game could arrive soon.
In the past, "Destiny 2" had been rumored to have a potential PC release. With the announcement that the upcoming video game will be a full reset for old and new players, the launch of a PC version could expand the player base of the game.
"Destiny 2" is currently in development with a rumored 2017 release date for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and possibly on PC.
