DirecTV Now Problems Update: Streaming Service Provider Offers Quick-Fix Tips on Roku Channels Issues

DirecTV Now video problems have been resolved after the streaming platform provided a guideline on how to fix the earlier reported problems.

Some of the problems associated with streaming Roku channels on DirecTV Now was the streaming device was not playing any video at all, played video but its audio was not in sync with the video, and playing pixelated video. The said problems have been easily addressed after the streaming device provider suggested some quick fixes to the issues.

While some DirecTV Now subscribers may still be encountering similar issues, the streaming service provider advises their users to make sure that the Roku player is connected directly to the TV and not on an A/V receiver (AVR).

Subscribers are also advised to make sure that the TV is turned on and press a button on the Roku remote control to make sure the device is not on a standby or screensaver mode.

DirecTV NOW also advises the subscribers to make sure that the TV video input they choose is compatible with that of the Roku player they have. These video connectors are known for names such as HDMI 1, HDMI 2, AUX, VIDEO IN 1, among others.

In the event that the video input is not compatible, a subscriber must press a button on their TV remote control that says Input, Source, AUX, Video, TV/Video or similar to these. Pressing the button may cycle through different inputs or display a menu choice of inputs right away, depending on the TV the subscriber owns.

It is also important for a subscriber to ensure that the video cable is firmly connected to the back of the Roku player and to the composite connector on the TV. Those with a Roku stick, on the other hand, must ensure that it is properly connected to the HDMI connector of their TV.

In the event that all the tips mentioned still fail to address the issues, subscribers are advised to try the Roku player in another TV as the TV itself may be the one with an issue.

Meanwhile, some DirecTV subscribers were also disappointed yesterday after the digital entertainment provider encountered some technical difficulties during its NFL Sunday programming. Apart from the Red Zone Channel, there were also reports saying that other channels were not coming through as well.

DirecTV has yet to release a statement to address the issue.
