'Donna the Deer Lady' on Crossings; 'Why Are We Directing Them to Busy Roads?' (VIDEO)

A woman called Donna has become known as "the deer lady" for her hilarious radio rant about deer crossings.Donna recently called in to Fargo's Y94 FM to issue a rant about deer crossings, something that had seemingly gotten under her skin following a series of deer-related car crashes near her.

She said, "I wanted to voice my opinion on something that's been bothering me for a really long time. I've tried writing to the newspaper and...TV stations, but no one seems to want to run with it, so that's why I'm calling you guys."

She was seemingly upset that authorities had decided to place up deer crossing signs in busy traffic areas.

Unaware that the signs were there to warn people that deer are known to run out and cross the roads in the coming area, Donna ranted about how useless authorities were for "encouraging deer to cross at the interstate."

Donna expressed her anger that officials would be directing deer to these busy roads and blamed them for the accidents taking place.

The radio host thought that she was joking initially, but it appears that Donna "the deer lady" was deadly serious.

This is a portion of Donna's rant: "Over the past few years, I've been involved in three separate car accidents involving deer. Each of these accidents, they've occurred shortly after I've seen a deer crossing sign on the highway."

She added, "My frustration is that Minnesota and North Dakota departments of transportation would allow these deer crossings to be in such high-traffic areas. I mean, I've even seen them on the interstate. Why are we encouraging deer to cross at the interstate? I don't get it."

The radio host, obviously dumbfounded by her comments, tries to explain to Donna what deer crossings are for, even asking Donna initially: "Are you kidding?"

However, it appears that Donna was completely serious and had a point to get off her chest. The radio hosts continue to chuckle under their breath as Donna goes on to describe the problems with "directing deer to cross roads in high traffic areas."
