'Downton Abbey' Season 4 Premiere Preceded by Cosmetics Line

Ever wanted to look like Lady Grantham or emanate the beauty of the Crawley women? Well, that is more a possibility now than ever before as a new line of Downton Abbey cosmetics is being released exclusively by cosmetic company Mark and Spencer.

The release of the cosmetic line will precede the premiere of season 4. The premiere is set for January 2014, but the downton Abbey themed make-up will be available in October.

The cosmetics line includes scented soaps, lip gloss, moisturizers, blams and scented candles, according to Daily Mail. The packaging will be consistant with the décor of the show, with post-Edwardian designs, the Downton Abbey crest, as well as an inscription of a quote from the show.

It seems as if this won't be the only Downton Abbey product available to fans. Gareth Neame, the executive producer of Downton Abbey, told CNBC that more products are on the way.

"We'll be working across an entire range of products coming out this year. From fashion, apparel and homeware and furniture to wallpapers, beauty products and stationery," Neame said.

Neame went on to explain why it has taken so long for Downton Abbey products to hit the shelves. After all, the show has been a hit for three years, and the cosmetic line is the first product tie in.

"It's a very slow burn the moment you get into retail, it's extremely cautious, it has to test the established brand … No one wants to launch products if the show's going to be a flop," Neame explained.

The Downton Abbey cosmetic line is expected to be available for purchase starting in October of this year.
