'Dragon Ball Super' Update: Fans Want to Change Planet Name to 'Namek'

Change.org has definitely changed the world by hosting campaigns, and one of the most talked about campaigns recently is fans' petition to change the name of planet Kepler 22b to "Namek."

Namek is home to Namekians, which are characters from the hit anime series "Dragon Ball," and the most popular among the green-skinned creatures is Piccolo. Piccolo was once a villain in the series, but became part of Son Goku's team later on. Now, fans want to honor him by using his planet's name instead of planet "Kepler 22b."

According to Rocket News 24, the petition was started by an American named Lou Earley. The website said that Earley is very serious in changing the name of the planet that was discovered in Dec. 5, 2011, and he plans to take his petition to the International Astronomical Union, or IAU, which is the agency that is responsible for naming planets and other heavenly bodies.
