'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Release Date for 2016 in USA, Preorders, News & Updates: Rare Collectibles, Game Incentives Up for Grabs

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is one of the highly anticipated games this year and it is expected to be more successful than its predecessor. Published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, this upcoming fighting role-playing video game is set to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Release Date in the USA

IGN reports that the official launch of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" in the US for the PS4 and Xbox One will be on October 25. The PC version will be released via Steam worldwide on October 28. Moreover, Bandai Namco also announced that it collaborated with Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki to add up new beats to a selection of popular tracks used in the original anime.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be set two years after the first game, according to an issue of Japan's V-Jump magazine. It will feature an expanded Time Patrol where players will be taking on the role as a new recruit. Among the confirmed playable characters include Goku, Goku (GT), Goku Black, Super Saiyan Gogeta, Turles, Lord Slug, Future Gohan, Future Trunks and Janemba.

Players can expect new adventures as they will not only stop the changing history, but also go on exciting missions such as joining Freeza's army as an undercover and getting a sight on the "Ruler of the Universe." Ollie Barder of Forbes also predicted that "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will have a connected narrative to "Dragon Ball Super," an anime television series currently airing in Japan.

'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Preorders

According to Gematsu, Bandai Namco announced that U.S. gamers who wanted to enjoy rare "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" collectibles and game incentives may take advantage of the preorder bonuses and special editions. The preorder bonuses include a playable character Goku Black (a villain from the "Dragon Ball Super" series) and the Tao Pai Pai Stick used as stylish flying vehicle in the role-playing video game.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is available in a Deluxe Edition that costs $89.99. This special edition will come with a copy of the game, an immediate access to playable character Future Trunks and a season pass worth $29.99. This season pass will give instant access to four upcoming separate content packs.

Moreover, a Collector's Edition of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is also available at $149.99. This package will include the base game, a 13-inch miniature of Son Goku, an exclusive steelbook case and a copy of the game's official soundtrack.
