Drudge Report News: Drudge Tweets Ominous Ebola Message on Twitter?
Matt Drudge from The Drudge Report posted a tweet earlier this week after months of social media silence, however, the sudden activity on Twitter was both cryptic and ominous, and seemingly offered a vague hint at the two health workers who were diagnosed with Ebola recently in Texas.
The tweet simply stated, "Self-quarantine," but it was unclear on what he was referring to exactly.
Some have said that there's the possibility that Drudge has gotten hold of information that nobody is aware of yet.
Others claim that there's the possibility the tweet calls for something inevitable; that if the spread of the virus becomes uncontrollable, there will be no way to stop it except through people self-quarantining.
Others who have been following Drudge's Twitter feed had something else to say about his message.
Recently, Drudge's website has been heavily focused on Ebola cases especially as the virus is now in the United States. The media focus has been intense since the two health workers were confirmed to have had the virus recently, especially after the second worker was reported to have boarded a commercial passenger plane just hours before being found to have Ebola.
Amber Vinson was one of the nurses who was treating Thomas Duncan - the man who contracted the virus in Africa before traveling to the United States, and who recently died from the virus. Vinson was allowed to travel and fly by the CDC even after reporting to them she only had a low-grade fever, and that apparent failure of protocol has sparked a wave of criticism at health authorities as well as the Obama administration.
