Duchess Kate Makes Funny Faces at Wimbledon, Reacts to Andy Murray's Loss

Kate Middleton proved once more that she is an avid sports fan while attending the Wimbledon Championship on Wednesday, July 2.

The Duchess of Cambridge sat beside her husband, Prince William, while Scottish tennis star Andy Murray played Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov on Centre Court. During the match, Middleton displayed incredible zeal for the sport and was photographed making several different faces, ranging from anguish to a cringing face as Murray lost to his opponent.

Murray had been on a 17-match winning streak at Wimbledon before the match against Dimitrov in the quarter-finals. As reflected from the court, the Duchess of Cambridge was seen grimacing, biting her lip, laughing, and at one point, the royal's jaw even dropped while Murray fought for the Wimbledon title. Despite her funny faces, Middleton was impeccably dressed in the same white eyelet frock by Zimmerman that she wore during her tour of Australia and New Zealand in April. This time, the 31-year-old paired the dress with a pearl drop earrings and a pair of RayBan sunglasses.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed the sporting event at the All England Club without their son, Prince George. Nevertheless, Kate's younger sister Pippa Middleton gave an update on the royal baby during a recent interview. Prince George, who will turn one later this month, is "very funny," according to his aunt.

"He's amazing," she told NBC News. "He's a very dear boy. He's brought a lot of pleasure and fun for all of us, the whole family."

Furthermore, just yesterday while visiting a school in North London, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed her son was not only walking now, but "racing around."

"He's so fast and I can't believe he is opening doors already," Middleton was heard saying, according to comedian John Bishop via the Daily Mail.

Prince George turns one on July 22.
