Duggar Family Updates: Jill And Jessa Spin-Offs Airing on TLC This December, Josh Still Undergoing Rehab

Two members of the Duggar family, Jill and Jessa Duggar, are set to return to the TLC network with their new special titled "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" with its first episode airing in December. This is happening amidst protests, mostly through social media, about their return to TV after the sexual molestation scandal that Josh Duggar admitted early on. According to a report in The Inquisitr, TLC had made the announcement about the new show in September and from then on, has gotten a lot of criticism from the public.

Following TLC's promotion of the specials, many took to social media such as FaceBook to express their opinions about the matter. While the network may seem unfazed by the negative publicity, the report said that they may be watching out for its impact on its advertisers. An online campaign has been launched and has claimed to have gotten 600 sponsors to back out from supporting the network.

The two sisters, the report claims, have their own controversies surrounding them. Jessa Duggar, who married Ben Seewald, has been criticized for defending her brother Josh for her sexual abuse and for wanting nothing more in life than to bear 20 children. Jill Duggar and her husband Derrick Dillard have been criticized for not being transparent about their missionary work in Central America especially after they continue to collect donations from donors in the U.S.

On the other hand, Josh Duggar is still in rehab in the faith-based rehab center in Illinois with no news as to when his rehab will finish. According to another report in Us Weekly, on November 11, the family patriarch, Jim Bob Duggar, was spotted with two other passengers, presumably other family members, at a Rockford, Illinois airport, which is near the rehab facility. The report said that they took the same plane they used to take Josh to the center in August. Their visit fueled rumors that they were taking Josh home as his stint may be over, but this was dismissed by a local source who said that Josh was not yet out of rehab.
