'Dynasty Warriors 9' to Roll Out in Early 2018

"Dynasty Warriors 9" finally has a release window.

The Tokyo Game Show 2017 is currently taking place, and through it, fans of martial arts action series "Dynasty Warriors" are now aware of when the newest installment of the franchise may be arriving. Koei Tecmo Europe revealed during the Tokyo Game Show 2017 that "Dynasty Warriors 9" may be released sometime during the early parts of 2018.

In the past, Koei Tecmo was generous enough to give a number of gameplay previews for the upcoming "Dynasty Warriors 9" however, as to the matter of when it will be released remained to be unresolved — until now, that is.

While only giving an expected timeframe for the game's release, fans can now expect when the game will be coming. "Dynasty Warriors" continue to have a steady following and despite it being a primarily eastern-themed fighting game, it has a considerably larger following in the west.

Aside from the release window, Koei Tecmo also revealed a new trailer for "Dynasty Warriors 9." The developers are definitely not shying away from sharing information related to the game. Koei Tecmo had given a brief insight about the latest installment's new gameplay as well the Three Kingdoms narrative that it is centering on.

When "Dynasty Warriors 9" arrives, players would be able to enjoy an enhanced combat featuring a number of new moves and attacks that can be used even when in mid-combat. Furthermore, players would now be able to scale walls and building as part of the improved maneuvering system made for the game. This will be collectively known as the State Combo System, and using this, players would be able to accomplish a series of attacks that they can use to fight against the armies of their enemies.

What's also interesting about the game is that this would be the first time that "Dynasty Warriors" would be set in an open-world. Unfortunately, not much is known about that fact as of yet.

"Dynasty Warriors 9" would be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC when it is released next year.
