Eileen Davidson, 'Days of Our Lives' Star, Earning $750,000 for 'Real Housewives' Stint
"Days of Our Lives" and "Young and the Restless" star Eileen Davidson is reportedly earning a great deal for her new role on the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." She will be making more than anyone else on the series, which could easily cause tension between the women on the show, including her fellow soap star, Lisa Rinna.
Davidson "has indeed signed on to join the cast for the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,'" a source told Radar Online. "She was only working on a limited basis for 'DOOL' and 'Y&R.' Eileen has a huge fan following and will be paid $750,000, which is a record for a new cast member. There are very interesting dynamics between Eileen and fellow cast member and soap sudser, Lisa Rinna. Everyone will be extremely surprised by their relationship."
Both Rinna and Davidson starred on "Days of Our Lives," and at times their characters crossed paths. However, not much is known about their relationship off-screen, so this will be a first for "DOOL" fans, one that they are very excited to see. Davidson does in fact have a huge following thanks to her starring roles on dual soap operas.
Right now Davidson is back on "Days of Our Lives" as part of a vengeful storyline involving her arch-nemesis, Marlena Evans. The two have locked horns before, so it should be an interesting appearance, and her old cast mates are glad to have her back, even if it's only temporarily.
Her role as the vindictive Kristen DiMera earned her a Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Lead Actress. Fans are even more excited to see her once again do battle with Marlena, played by Deidre Hall, and do what she does best: get revenge on anyone she thinks has wronged her. This time she'll be out for blood and will kidnap Marlena yet again in order to get what she wants.
"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays on NBC.
