With that, there are speculations that stars such as Oprah Winfrey and Mariah Carey will be seen in the upcoming episodes. The news of Winfrey's feature on "Empire" began when Lee Daniels spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about it. He stated that he had talked to Winfrey about being in season 2.

However, Daniels recently spoke with Vanity Fair about the matter, where he revealed that they were not able to work things out with Winfrey. He stated, "Oprah has her own television show [Queen Sugar] that she's doing and acting in, so that became problematic with our schedule. She's also doing the Richard Pryor movie that I am directing. And so between Richard Pryor and the series she's doing for her network, we just couldn't fit her into the schedule. She really wanted to do the show, but she's going to be on next season for sure."

Nevertheless, Daniels also promised that the upcoming episodes will be filled with more fights, fashion, and drama. He expressed his excitement for the episodes, hoping that fans will come out loving it. With that, fans can expect the unexpected for the episodes to come.

"Empire" season 2 is expected to return to the small screen this Mar. 30.
