Ex-Hooker Estate Fight: Girls of Former Prostitute Awarded Money After Gang Killing
A judge has ruled that the two young girls of an ex-hooker have a valid claim to a million dollar estate in California.
Raveesh "Ravi" Kumra, a successful cell phone entrepreneur and former owner of Mountain Winery in Saratoga, was found murdered in his million-dollar Northern California home in November.
Police believe that Kumra was murdered by gang members who broke into the man's house with the assistance of prostitutes who worked for the entrepreneur. A number of women were living in the house at the time; amongst them was Keila Goggins.

Goggins filed in court last month that her 7- and 9-year-old daughters were Kumra's offspring and were entitled to money from his estate.
"I know you see all these things in the paper about him and prostitutes and that lifestyle," she told the Los Gatos Times after filing. "I mean, yeah, he might have had that type of lifestyle, but when it came to me and him and our girls, we were a family."
A judge ruled on Wednesday that the girls did have a claim, agreeing that they were the children of Kumra. Several loving email exchanges between him and the girls were offered as proof. The judge awarded each girl with a $1,800 monthly allowance.
"It is what he would have wanted, Goggins, who lives out of state with her children, told The Times. "It's a wonderful start to making sure that my girls can get their colleges taken care of and their needs, so they would have no limitation on where they wanted to go and what they wanted to be."
Kumra was found bound and gagged in his Silicon Valley estate. He died of asphyxiation as members a gang ransacked his house for money and jewels. Three gang members and two prostitutes have been arrested in association with the crime. Kumra also has two grown daughters who have currently taken over his estate.
