Fans Want to Know, Who Is Mahiro Takano?

Sia just recently released her new video for her new single "Alive," which is from her upcoming album "This Is Acting." Fans were expecting Maddie Ziegler to star on her newest music video, but many were surprised to see a new dancer featured in the video.

Viewers learned that the child star on Sia's new video is Mahiro Takano, and fans want to know who the Japanese solo performer in the clip is. According to Entertainment Weekly, the child star is already a star on her own before she appeared in the video.

The website said that Takano was found online, just like Maddie Ziegler in "Chandelier," after Sia saw the young athlete's video while practicing "Kanku Dai kata." Takano garnered about 5 million views on YouTube, where she shows a choreographed pattern of martial arts movements. The report added that Takano is also a dancer and an actress in Japan. She appeared in a commercial for Aeon, showing that she's not just a mixed martial arts talent.

Takano is also a Karate champion, and was even named as a 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics Karate ambassador by the Japan Karate-Do Federation. She was also seen practicing with the World Karate Champion Rika Usami on YouTube, and their video together has now garnered a thousand views.

Sia's music video was shot in Chiba, Japan, and was directed by filmmaker and artist Daniel Askill. It showed Takano doing an impressive karate routine, and according to People, the 9-year-old martial arts master brought life to Sia's song, which was released last Nov. 5.

On the other hand, Sia and Maddie Ziegler will still be working together, since Sia has written and will be directing "Sister," her upcoming film project. During her interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sia confesses her love for filmmaking, which she discovered after she directed "Chandelier," and will feature Ziegler in her new project.
